PARKING ENFORCEMENT INCREASED

(4/24/2007) Free Short-Term Parking Remains on Weekends in Downtown

NEW HAVEN- Traffic and Parking Officers throughout the city have stepped up their efforts to ticket motorists who fail to observe posted signs. Officers will be more visible throughout the week and on weekends and will ticket violators. These efforts include hospital areas and residential neighborhoods where visitors should take particular notice of permit requirements and other restrictions as indicated by signage.

While ticketing activity will be heightened, short-term parking will remain free on weekends. Free short-term parking is available for 2 hours on designated, marked streets in downtown.
